Check out my new favorite picture of my boys. I know I'm pretty biased, but I would say these are the best lookin' boys in the world! That's right, the whole entire world. LOVE.

This just in: my little dude is teething. Did you know that babies can start teething before they are even 4 months old?! Of course you did, but me being a brand new clueless mom...I had no idea. When I figured out he was probably teething my own mom told me that my brother had 4 teeth all before he was 4 months old! I had no idea it could happen so soon.

So needless to say it's been a little bit of a bumpy week. Jace has been pretty fussy and clingy, and I don't think the environment change of moving into our new house has helped much. He has been waking up before 6:00 every morning since we officially moved into our new home. Remember the days when I could sleep in until noon on the weekends? Yep, those days are looonnngg gone now. I sure hope this is just a phase and that he starts sleeping later in the mornings again soon!

So on to the next subject, our home-sweet-NEW-home! First let me say, moving is soooo exhausting! Last week was so long, and I was totally worn out. But luckily we have awesome family and friends who helped a ton and made the move so much easier!

Packing-sucked. Unpacking-rocks!

I have been shopping and organizing and dreaming all week, and it's so fun to see it all coming together. We still have a lot to do, but we've gotten a lot done too. I can't even tell you how much I love our new home!

Decorating blues: Everyone has a different decorating style. A lot of people in Utah are all into the contemporary, home & garden, sugar & spice kind of decorating. I've always been into that kind of decorating too. But now that we're in our new home, it feels so...boring! (I recently took a quiz online to determine what style of decorating you use. My style? Traditional. Ugh, boring!!) I want to spice it up a little with edgey, modern decor. Anyone on the same page as me with this? I don't even know where to shop for this kind of decor. I feel like I live in the wrong place for that! If you have any advice, it would be much appreciated. Mucho gracias.

Sooo anyway, I'll take pictures soon so you can all have a virtual tour. But better yet, you should come visit us and see it for yourself. We love visitors!

On another note, can you believe it's already the middle of July?! I feel so jipped. June was mostly rainy and cold, it feels like we've only had a couple weeks of summer when really we're halfway through! I don't think it helped that on my all time favorite holiday of the 4th, Dan spent the day sick in bed. What a bummer.

Summer is hands down my absolute favorite. We've gotten a few things in here and there...the pool, wakeboarding (I'm so sore!), lots of disc golf, repelling (Dan left me and went with friends to do that one, thanks suga!), and we're planning an epic camping trip to City of Rocks in August. But it's been busy what with buying a home and having a new baby around, so I feel like I've been sort of neglecting my sweet, sweet summer! Hopefully things are settled down enough now that we can start the part-EY. There is so much to do in the short 3 months of summer!

Normally I'm all about going out and doing things in the lake, at the pool, at the park, in a tent in the woods...but I have to say, my new favorite thing about summer? Our new house with a perfect long covered porch that we can chill on warm summer nights. Ahhh that is the best. Sippin lemonade (or Dr. Pepper?), watching the gorgeous view of the mountains, Rockie running around the front yard (pile of dirt, currently), laughing with my hubby and listening to my little dude talk to us in baby coo's. All the summer activites I've ever done so far in my life can't beat that.

  1. My decorating style is definitely traditional. The only store I know of that sells modern decor is IKEA. You have probably been there but just in case you haven't, it's in Draper. It seems like most of what they sell there is modern.
